All good things...

...must come to an end.
So they say.

Hopefully I can keep the good times rolling
with some balance in life when the new semester begins...
IN SIX DAYS!

Oy vey.

So as I mentioned in my last post,
New Years' resolutions and I
don't get along.

So instead,
I'm just carrying over goals from the past,
and hoping for improvement
[this time around].

So my plan for
organization.

First, I got one of these nice
desk calendars for Christmas:
Hopefully I can get in the habit
of writing out everything on it.
That way, I can keep everything straight,
between work, classes, and...
everything.

[I just need to keep my desk clean enough
so that I can see it every day!]

Also, last semester, I ended up with
a huge mess of a notebook.
It functioned as a folder,
a notes system
and a doodle pad...
for every class.

I'm hoping to clean up my study act
with using the notebook for
NOTES ONLY,
plus doodles in the margin. ;)

As for the mountain of papers I had to
sift through whenever I need to
find something,
a binder or folders should do the trick.

Still, my biggest struggle,
is organizing my time.

Finding time for all my classes,
and homework,
and work,
and, oh yeah, SLEEP,
can be tough.

Hopefully by psyching myself up now,
I can pull through better this spring.

Here goes.

Finals Week

It's here.
And I couldn't be more happy.

It's like one long weekend,
just dotted with projects and papers and tests.
But its still relaxing, and not as stressful.

So while I've been working hard on my final assignments,
I've also been watching TONS of movies with my roommates...

Random mix?
Yes.

Embarrassing mix?
Hah. Maybe.

But its been a good time.

I've also gotten a lot more sleep than I have been lately,
which is a miracle.

Oh, and I also found out that I got the internship for spring design intern at the Muncie Star Press!
I am so relieved that I will be able to tackle my credit while near campus and have some sort of income next semester.
However, it does mean that I will be quitting my Old National job, but let's face it...

I'm more than okay with that.

For now, I'm just looking forward to break,
and plowing through these last few days.

I'm alive, I promise

I'm just in way over my head right now...
With a to-do list a mile long.
Lots of homework to do, cleaning to do, and benefit planning to do.
And church softball starts on Monday.
So basically I won't get to breathe again until...
August.

Funny, I thought summer was supposed to be less stressful.

Anyways, I am back from vacation,
(which I will post about next with pictures!)
and back to work.

On the happier side of my life...

I designed my FIRST front page last night!
I still have a long way to go,
but this was my first shot at it,
and my editors agree that it was a dang good one :)

Also, while life may be hectic,
good times are ahead.

Saturday
I am heading to Cincinnati with a couple friends
to attend the Bamboozle Roadshow.
15-some bands for about $20,
yes please :)

Sunday
my dad's family is coming over for Father's Day,
which will be nice since we only see them a few times a year.

Tuesday
my family is heading down to Santa Claus, IN
for some Holiday World fun.
It is also my nephew's 6th birthday!

Wednesday
I'm heading back to Muncie to do some page design,
then driving to my grandma's because...

Thursday
my grandma, mom, sister, nephew, and myself
are driving to Chicago
to go to
LEGOLAND DISCOVERY CENTER.
And yes, I am 19 years old,
and wayyy excited for this!

Should be a good week :)
